SBT Sponsors the Shihan School of Survival

SBT continued their support of the Shihan School of Survival by donating $700 this year. Part of the donation went towards sponsoring the Clearwater Open Karate Tournament, which will take place on June 3, 2023. The annual karate tournament serves as a platform for budding martial artists to showcase their skills, compete, and gain valuable experience. It brings together participants from the local community and beyond, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition and mutual respect. Through this tournament, children learn important life lessons such as discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. 

​The other portion of the donation went towards sponsoring free community karate classes that take place at the North Greenwood Recreational Center. These lessons offer an opportunity for individuals of all ages to learn the art of self-defense, improve their physical fitness, and enhance their mental well-being. This sponsorship helped children in the community have access to uniforms, supplies, and a custom SBT patch!
