SBT donates $5,000 to Eckerd Connects

This spring, SBT donated $5,000 to Eckerd Connects, a long-time Pickren Community Outreach partner. The donation supported Eckerd Connects' Success Awards, which helps children, young adults, and families who are especially vulnerable to failure in the community. The program pays for transitional needs so that recipients can reach their vocational and educational goals. David Dennis, President and CEO of Eckerd Connects, explained the impact of the donation:

I can’t begin to tell you how far a $5,000 gift goes when it comes to equipping our clients with the tools to succeed – but I can say that when a young mother is able to repair her vehicle in order to get to work reliably, when a high school graduate finally has a laptop and can work on college assignments independently outside of our office, and when a displaced homemaker is able to afford a training certification to make her employable to provide for her family, they will all remember what a blessing you have been in their lives.
